Hi everyone. Halton Liberal Democrats have come a long way in the last couple of years. We’ve worked hard to bring in new blood, more diversity and a new future for the group.
This hasn’t been easy. As a small party we’re often setting the tone and agenda, and if we have a good idea, it can be picked up by the other parties. However, something changed in 2016, and the main parties lost sight of the liberal values that the UK holds dear.
Consequently, new blood has entered the Liberal Democrats. We’re growing, the new members are enthusiastic, and there’s a great potential to build something more suited to the modern world than what came before. Because we know most people are tolerant, open, and see the importance in the environment we live in. We know that most people want the opportunities that a reduction in borders can bring. We know that most people believe that everyone starts equal and should be supported to the best of their abilities, regardless of where they live or who they are born to.
This site is another step in our adventure. We hope you enjoy it as we start to post up news and information about what Halton’s Liberal Democrats are doing to help you, the people of Halton.
